Duties of Chief of staff:
a. coordinate the operations of the Governor's office
b. oversees members of the Executive Council
c. serves as the Governor's liaison with the state executive branch
d. Prepare the Governor's daily schedule
e. organize meetings.
Two Obio akpor sons has served in the capacity of chief of staff
a. H. E. Barr. Ezenwo Wike 2007 - 2011 from Ward 9, Rumuepirikom
b. Chief Tony Okocha 2011 - 2015 from Ward 12, Ekinigbo (Rumuigbo)

Evangelist T C Wanyanwu is the founder of Association of Obio/Akpor Youths (AOY) and coordinator of ETC WANYANWU WEEKEND OBIOAKPOR-AOY QUIZ

Evangelist Thankgod Chimenem Wanyanwu is a teacher, preacher of the gospel of Jesus Christ, motivational and inspirational speaker, social and human rights activist from Rukpokwu Community in Port Harcourt city, Rivers State, Nigeria. A fan of technology, music, and writing.

Obio-Akpor is a local government area in the metropolis of Port Harcourt, one of the major centres of economic activities in Nigeria, and one of the major cities of the Niger Delta, located in Rivers State.
